New Life for Women, Inc.
“An Excellent Place Providing Exceptional Services for Extraordinary Women”
New Life for Women, Inc was established in 1988 to provide a comprehensive, quality, and holistic continuum of care to chemically dependent women, many of whom are homeless, regardless of ethnic or socioeconomic background, while maintaining an environment conducive to the nurture, education, and rehabilitation of the clients whom are served.
Primary Program – consists of a full schedule of group and individual counseling in a 24-hour, 7-day a week monitored environment. This phase lasts for 30-45 days.
Secondary Program – consists of group and individual counseling support at a part-time level focusing on the continuation of recovery while finding gainful employment and re-entering society as a productive member. The phase last for approximately 60 days.
Transitional Program – allows individuals an opportunity to live rent free, having found gainful employment, and to save 30% of their income in order to eventually live independently, thereby ending their state of homelessness. This phase includes counseling twice a week and individual counseling as needed.
Aftercare Program – consists of meeting at the facility once or twice a week depending on the individual’s needs. This phase assists those who have completed the other programs to maintain the skills they have gained and the foundation they have built for themselves, thus offering a permanent solution to the challenges of homelessness and chemical dependency.
Lutheran Episcopal Services in Mississippi (LESM) serves as the managing agency providing programmatic and fiscal oversight for New Life for Women.
The Twelve Step Recovery Model is used throughout the programs of New Life for Woman.
